Serviço público

How we would love to spend our Sunday evenings in the company of a Portuguese public-service programme devoted to culture. That programme was called Câmara Clara; it went out on RTP2, Portugal’s public arts channel, and it showcased work by artists from many disciplines and interviewed thinkers, poets, musicians, academics… Sadly, we never made it onto Câmara Clara, and in all likelihood we never will, because the programme has come to an end.

The programme’s philosophy described the idea of the Encounter like this: ‘And an encounter is not a thing. It is a process.’ It is that encounter we are looking for in these series of conversations.

Each edition takes up a theme connected with artistic creation, with a guest who joins us in this conversation, this encounter.

Welcome to SERVIÇO PÚBLICO.
