At the invitation of the Teatro Nacional São João, Terceira Pessoa takes Camilo Castelo Branco’s Memórias do cárcere (Prison memoirs) as the starting point for a theatre piece with men in Vale do Sousa Prison, in Paços de Ferreira.
The process began with dance, music, the visual arts and literature, and is now moving into theatre, with texts by Afonso Cruz and a dramaturgy drawn from Camilo’s work. The first public sharing of the process took place on 1 July 2026. The premiere is planned for May 2027 at the Teatro Nacional São João (Porto), after which the piece will travel to the Theatro Circo (Braga).
