As peças que faltam

AS PEÇAS QUE FALTAM takes as its starting point Les unités perdues by the French writer Henri Lefebvre (published in English as The Missing Pieces), a catalogue of works, films, poems, buildings and lives lost over the course of human history. Terceira Pessoa invited 12 artists working in the visual arts, digital art and new technologies to give form to the concepts underlying the original book. The result is a group exhibition about presence and absence, in which the word is made image.

The exhibition was on show at A Moagem – Cidade do Engenho e das Artes in Fundão from 18 October to 8 November 2025. On 19 October, Casa do Comum in Lisbon hosted a conversation with the author, chaired by André Barata and Óscar Silva. A selection of the pieces was then shown at the Museu Francisco Tavares Proença Júnior in Castelo Branco from 6 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. The project includes a book of essays edited by André Barata.
