A Terceira Pessoa production, co-produced by Teatro-Cine de Torres Vedras and Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, Portugal’s national theatre, as part of its Odisseia Nacional programme.
SYNOPSIS
A group of actors come together to question their craft and their very existence as agents of the theatrical event. It is from there that they rehearse the possibilities of theatre, probing the context in which the actor’s work comes face to face with whatever is remade and undone in them, at the limits of their bodies and of the fiction they build and inhabit.
This is the recurring theme of Os idiotas: the actors’ work as an engine for experimenting with the binaries fiction/reality and, in turn, performers/audience.
