Mãos pensantes ou manual de pensar

A heavy hand, the hand of God, a light hand, good with your hands, butterfingers, the dead hand, a dab hand, warm hands cold heart, an iron hand, tight-fisted, hand on heart, hands up, the laying-on of hands, a safe pair of hands, healing hands, open-handed, clean hands, hands full, hand over fist, empty-handed, all hands on deck, hand-wringing, heart in hand, hands on hips, out of hand, ‘manu militaris’, a show of hands, a hand’s breadth, hands that stitch lives, objects, tools, marks, things that serve and things that don’t, these very hands that wrote this text, thinking hands OR a manual for thinking.

The pleasure of thinking through the work of a craftsman and a craftswoman still lives in an earlier ear, where, when you close your eyes, you can still hear the mechanical sound of the tools of the trade, mixed with the breathing of those who mark its intensity.

There is no creation in which I do not seek to make myself.
