Inspired by the final of Euro 2016, in which Portugal beat the host nation, France, KIF-KIF brings together teatromosca (Sintra), Théâtre de la Tête Noire (Saran) and Terceira Pessoa (Castelo Branco) in a project where theatre meets football.
On the pitch, two teams, one Portuguese and one French, each with 11 player-actors (nine young non-professionals and two professional actors) and a coach-director. Two referee-dramaturgs. Different tactics. A final played over two legs: in Portugal and in France.
KIF-KIF comes from the Arabic ‘kif’, which can mean ‘the same’.
