The Old Image of Being Loved

The Old Image of Being Loved takes place as a theater event in which the audience is invited to co-create a fictional, long-term, artistic project called “Touch”.

The Old Image of Being Loved is made up of two objects (and work of art in constant construction and a theater performance) that coexist in the same space and time – two lines of drama crossing paths and depending on one another. Photographs, scene proposals, dramaturgical drafts, sketches and scenographic essays are the substances moving and deepening the development of the entire performance, characterizing it as a multidisciplinar performance. The creation of material carried out by the Obra-Auditório collective is not just a mere interactive game. It is also its own language that levels reality and fiction in the same plane: that of real time.

The Old Image of Being Loved is a performance that does not exist because it brought itself upon the tenderness of an artist forgotten by the world.

/SINOPSYS

I have an idea. This idea is an image. An image in which I stand before a stranger. But this is no random stranger. I have an idea in which I make a work of art with the stranger that is reading this text. When I write this text I think of the stranger. My idea is to create a memorable work of art. This is my idea of collective. I, the stranger that reads this and a work of art. An image. I have the idea of meeting the stranger in place X at time Y to think about this idea: “The Old Image of Being Loved”
