Estado ativo – ensaios reunidos

Estado ativo is a multidisciplinary project that brought together artists, essayists, academics and civil-society organisations to co-create participatory artworks with the community, works that broadened reflection on the structural challenges facing democracy, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the 25 April Revolution. The processes and art forms of contemporary artistic creation (performance, the visual arts and sound composition) were brought into dialogue to think about education, the economy, justice, society, the environment and urban planning.

An initiative of Terceira Pessoa – Associação, supported by the Directorate-General for the Arts through its Partnership Support Programme – Art for Democracy, as part of the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the Revolution of 25 April 1974.
