As peças que faltam (The missing pieces) is a creative project inspired by Les unités perdues, a book by the French writer Henri Lefebvre published in English as The Missing Pieces.
It gave rise to a group exhibition of works by 12 artists, which opened on 18 October 2025 at A Moagem – Cidade do Engenho e das Artes in Fundão. Between December 2025 and January 2026, the exhibition was also on show at the Museu Francisco Tavares Proença Júnior in Castelo Branco.
This book brings together a series of essays written as part of the project, particularly in relation to the exhibition As peças que faltam.
