MANIFESTA-TE is an arts and education project aimed at young people aged 13 to 16 in the Castelo Branco area. This project, promoted by Terceira Pessoa, is part of the Gulbenkian Academies of Knowledge and aims to develop the following socio-emotional skills: creativity, critical thinking and communication. "Manifesta-te" is an experimental methodology based on the following pedagogies: performative; narrative; playful; discovery; creation; doing; emancipation; collective work. Using artistic techniques/strategies and tools, the methodology is structured to directly foster the skills identified.

EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS

SYNOPSIS

MANIFESTA-TE is an arts and education project aimed at young people aged 13 to 16 in the Castelo Branco area. This project, promoted by Terceira Pessoa, is part of the Gulbenkian Academies of Knowledge and aims to develop the following socio-emotional skills: creativity, critical thinking and communication.

“Manifesta-te” is an experimental methodology based on the following pedagogies: performative; narrative; playful; discovery; creation; doing; emancipation; collective work. Using artistic techniques/strategies and tools, the methodology is structured to directly foster the skills identified.

The young people thus work directly with artists and art education specialists, developing a process that will culminate in the creation of an artistic object to be shared with the public. As it develops, the “Manifesta-te” experimental methodology will be evaluated and monitored in order to understand its real impact on the development of socio-emotional skills in the young participants.

This Terceira Pessoa project is part of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s National Network of Gulbenkian Knowledge Academies.
