Óscar Silva

In 2010 he graduated in Theatre-Actors from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. In 2013 he attended the Post-Graduation Performance programme of Escola de Comunicação e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo. He works mostly in theatre as a scenic creator, director and actor. In cinema he has worked with André Godinho and David Bonneville. Between 2010 and 2014 he lived and worked in São Paulo, where he created and presented several works in the areas of theatre, performance and training. He worked with Maurício Paroni de Castro and was an artist associated to d’Os Satyros, developing performances as actor and direction assistant. Between 2012 and 2014 he was assistant director at SP Escola de Teatro. In the beginning of 2015 he directed the Emblema II performances – a private performance and Cortés in Portugal and Spain respectively. He was awarded a grant by the GDA Foundation, lived in London where he completed his Master’s degree in Performance and Practice at the University of the Arts London – Central Saint Martins. In 2016 he premiered the “Mastodone” performance at Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, that he created with Ricardo Marques. In the same year, with Terceira Pessoa, he created “The Old Image of Being Loved”. In 2017 he collaborated as an actor with the Prague Theatre, for the “Awakening of Spring” performance, was resident artist at the École des Maitres, where he worked with the TRANSQUINQUENNAL collective and was assistant director to Pedro Penim in “Malignant Humor”.
Recently he was an actor in “Waiting for Beckett or qua qua qua”, by Jorge Louraço.
