He started his artistic activity in 2004, founding Companhia Cães à Solta. In 2009, he created “Before Discovering the Throat”. In 2010 he worked with Artistas Unidos. In the same year he completed his Degree in Theatre – Acting Branch at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School. He carried out research at the Traditional Literature Institute (IELT) of Lisbon Nova University. In 2011 he premiered “Efabulação” (receiving the award for best actor). He had his Opera debut in 2011, at the São Carlos National Theatre, with Georges Bizet’s “Carmen”. In 2012 he founded Terceira Pessoa – Associação, where he created “Kurt Cobain” (2012), “Hey You” (2013), “Registration” (2014), “Thinking Hands or Thinking Manual” (2014), “First Childhood” (2015), “The Old Image of Being Loved” (2016) and “Here is Always Another Place” (2017). In 2013/2014 he collaborated with the Prague Theatre in the “TABUROPA” international performance arts project (Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Poland). He is responsible for the artistic direction and production of the “There is a party in the Countryside/Artistic Villages” project. Recently, he has been focusing on projects at the intersection of the visual arts with performance arts, such as “saying goodbye to things”, “condominium” and “the accidental work”. In 2018 creates and premiered the show “From my village I see how much of the earth can be seen in the universe” and the show “COMMON SENSE – a vague remembrance of a show”. In 2019 creates the pluridisciplinar artistic path “A Line is a Strolling Point” in Riachos (Torres Novas), integrated in the program of Caminhos Médio Tejo. He is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Acting at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema / Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa.
