REGISTRATION: Childhood

REGISTRATION: Childhood

For five months we had the opportunity to work with a group of children from the Castelo Branco region.

With them we met the “whys” that one day we too have asked; flying dogs, cats singing, unknown countries, two dimension images that together create a world where what is essential is invisible.

/SYNOPSIS

Once upon a time there was a country. Full stop. New line.

This country was shaped like a rectangle and also has the shape of the letter “I” or a shoebox. This country had four main cardinal points: north, south, east and west and people walked forward and backward, left and right. Like the cars, buses, bikes, bicycles, trains. Sometimes people walked in circles and sometimes remained still in the same place.

In this country there were people, as in all countries, and people had different sizes and shapes, as in all countries. There were short people, tall people, so-so people, fat people, skinny people and so-so too. People with long hair, people with short hair, smooth, curly and so-so; and there were even people without hair, who called themselves bald. Beautiful people, ugly people, according to each one’s taste, of course.

In this country people talked too, as in all countries, a main language, but also other languages were heard, and sometimes they were silent. And the silence of this country was equal to the silence of other countries.
