FIRST CHILDHOOD
|
From the starting point of the universe of the first years of life and of the stories of those times, “First Childhood: Fables” revolves around the figure of Maria Rita, a nine-year-old child who started to perform with Terceira Pessoa at the age of 6, never again stop her involvement in creative processes.
In this performance, Maria Rita tells the story of Terceira Pessoa and of her “first childhood”, relating it to initiation events such as the Big Bang, the Baby Boom, a Supernova that appeared in the exact moment she was born – as told to her by her mother, who felt it in her skin.
And the brakes of the story, Maria Rita introduces her first works of art, resulting from her derivations of her first times.
Accompanying Maria’s drifting is a couple of teddy bears, with whom she has existentialist conversations, at times touching on eternal themes: “Ye, drifting is a very beautiful thing, but also very difficult. Just like the unicorn. You cannot see it, but you also can’t say it doesn’t exist.”
