LONGING TO DIE IN COSY SUFFERING is a performance by Filipa Matta and Óscar Silva, developed in the context of “Trace, Margin, Flash”, a multidisciplinary project concerning the universe found in the writings of Rui Nunes (b.1945), involving creators from the areas of performing arts, visual arts and education.
Him – She’s at home, filled up with any other world but this one. She’s filthy. She’s never stopped watching me. She’s charged with a feverish energy. It makes me sick.
Her – He is whatever I make him into. He comes from a time dragged like a dead goat. He’s all rotten inside. Death draws him out cruelly. That is, I simply make him into himself. A decomposing body that contaminates me. I feel sick.
